I decided to write this blog post after being inspired by a blog called Five Green Lizards. In her blog she talks about doing something each day to create a passive income stream. It can be something as small as a blog post or as big as completing your Ebook, but it has to be something. I think this is an amazing idea because posting each day will hold me accountable and keep me motivated to do something every day. My goal is by this day next year; I will have enough passive income seeds planted that I will be able to put in my notice at work and be a stay at home wife and mom. I love creating things and It would be such a joyful life to be able to focus on my creative pursuits for a career. All the while having the freedom to travel and spend as much time as I want with family. I believe that with faith and hard work, by this time next year that dream can be a reality.
So I will update this page at the end of every day for a year and tell you what passive income seeds I planted that day. Here are some of the ways I’ve learned to earn passive income so far. I hope to discover new ways as time goes on.
So I will update this page at the end of every day for a year and tell you what passive income seeds I planted that day. Here are some of the ways I’ve learned to earn passive income so far. I hope to discover new ways as time goes on.
- Creating Zazzle Products- Zazzle is a website where you can customize products with your own photos or artwork. Everything is made to order by Zazzle so you don’t have to worry about any customer service stuff. You can set up as many stores as you want with specific Niche’s.
- Cash Back and Survey Site referrals- I have a few different survey and cash back sites that I like to use that have generous referral programs. Treasuretrooper is by far the best! I created a Youtube video about how to earn passive income with referrals.
- Creating Youtube Videos. I like to make Youtube Videos of my favorite cash back and survey sites. I also make videos about apps that I enjoy. This was a little difficult for me at first because I’m a very shy person and not very comfortable speaking on in front of people or on camera. I find though that this gets easier with each video I create. There is also a way to earn money on Youtube by putting together creative commons videos that other people have created. I learned how to do that with when I took this Udemy Course.
- Creating Blog Post on Weebly. I love Weebly because it’s the only blog platform that I know of that lets you monetize with its free version. I monetize my blog with Google Adsense and Viglink. Viglink gives you a simple code that you put on your blog that will turn any applicable keywords into affiliate links that you can earn a commission from. This is great if you live in one of the states that doesn’t allow the Amazon Affiliate program. It also is nice alternative if you don’t have enough followers to get accepted into the big affiliate programs.
- Selling stock photos. There are a lot of apps where you can list your smartphone photos for sale. Once listed , they can be purchased over and over again.
- Peer to Peer lending. I use the website Prosper for this. People apply for loans that are funded by multiple investors. What I love is that you only need $25 to invest in a loan and be able to start receiving interest payments. The loans are rated from AA to HR or higher risk. The ratings are based on the borrowers credit rating. So you can choose how risky you want to invest.
- Writing Ebooks. I have so many ideas for Ebooks! I even have a rough draft completed for one of them. I just need to get through the editing and formatting process so that I can get it in the Amazon store.
- Creating Apps. I took a Udemy course that taught me how to create fun games for smart phones using an easy game making program. Now that I have the hang of it, it only takes me about two hours to create each game.
- Create a Udemy Course. You hear me talk about Udemy a lot. I love taking classes with them. They have sales most months where all courses are $10-$20. You don’t have to have a teaching degree to create a Udemy Course. You just have to be knowledgeable in a particular subject. Creating a course is probably more work than anything else on this list but also provides the highest amount of passive income. The average Udemy instructor earns around $7,000 per year. The highest paid instructors earn millions!

- I created 9 new post cards for my Scenic Maine Beauty Zazzle store.
- I tried to open a cafe press store which is similar to Zazzle, but I did not find it to be very user friendly at all so I think I'm just going to stick with Zazzle for now.
- I submitted two photo's to Foap. Foap is an app that lets you submit your photos for sale in their marketplace.

I know I haven't updated in a few days. I caught a horrible cold and stayed home from work on Monday. When I wasn't resting I managed to dive into editing my ebook Online Passive Income Streams. I gave it my full attention on Tuesday and Wednesday and am proud to announce that today it is officially available for sale on Amazon.com!! Woohoo! I can now say that I'm a published author!

I'm a little nervous though. I often relate to George Mcfly in my all time favorite movie Back to the Future. In the video below at 38 seconds he talks about why he doesn't let people read his stories. That's a feeling I definitely need to learn to overcome if I'm going to make E-books a successful passive income stream.

Happy Spring everyone! I'm so sorry it's been such a long time since I've updated. I got over the flu I had last month but ever since then I've had horrible fatigue like I've never felt before. i went to the doctor but they just gave me the general "drink more water, get more sleep" speech. So I started researching on my own and found some forums with people who have similar symptoms as mine; chronic fatigue, brain fog, trouble focusing, and just generally feeling spaced out for most of the day. Some herbal supplements they mentioned on the forum are Butterbur and Mindcare. I've been taking them for almost a week now and I'm finally starting to feel better. I'm still more tired than usual but at least I don't take a 1-2 hour nap as soon as I get home from work anymore.
So that's what's been going on with me. Probably the most frustrating thing about feeling sick is that I haven't gotten nearly as much accomplished as I had planned. My Passive Income Streams book has sold about five copies. It probably would have been more but someone gave me a nasty review on Amazon saying it was too short. The kicker is that the person got the book when I had it listed for free so I was surprised he had so much to complain about. It's regular price is 99 cents and books in that price range generally are pretty short. But I'm not going to let it discourage me. Every book get's negative reviews sometimes. I already have another book idea that I've started working on so stay tuned for that!
I sold another pillow in my Zazzle.com store! I really need to be diligent with creating new product designs each day.
Udemy is an online learning website that I really enjoy and have taken many classes on. They have lowered their price range so now all classes are between $20-$50. I'm a Udemy affiliate so I can earn commissions from promoting their courses. I wrote a post on here about my 5 favorite courses for creating passive income. My goal this week will be to also create a YouTube video where I talk about what the five courses have to offer. This will earn me passive income from YouTube and also if someone signs up for a course.
So I'm getting back on track with my goals. I'm going to update this post weekly instead of daily to keep it from getting insanely long.
